We’ve finally gotten Easton fully potty trained during the day (and if you want to read more about our potty training tools you can right here). At night he sleeps in a pull up, but during the day he’s good to go no matter if we’re in the car, out and about, or just hanging around the house.
I’m so happy that he’s potty trained, but one thing we’re really struggling with lately is going to the bathroom at home alone. Easton is afraid of turning on the bathroom light because he’s scared of the fan in the bathroom. He always asks me to turn on the light and covers his ears when I do. It’s cute, but also makes me a little worried because he’s going to start going to preschool a few days a week once summer is here.
This is one problem that the IllumiBowl is great for. You just pop in the batteries, fit it to the rim of your toilet, and when it detects motion it lights up. But it’s not wasteful because it only works when the lights are totally off. We tried it with the door wide open and the light on in the hallway but it didn’t work unless it was totally dark.
IllumiBowl isn’t just great for toddlers who are afraid of the dark bathroom though. It’s a great product for using the bathroom at night. You don’t have to turn on the bathroom light and wake your spouse up, it’s that bright.
If you think you’ve heard about this product before you probably have! IllumiBowl was featured on shark tank where they partnered with Mr. Wonderful himself Kevin O’Leary.
Another cool feature that Easton really enjoys is that it lights up in different colors. You can set it to stay one color or you can let it rotate through the many color options it has. It’s pretty fun to watch, and it’s encouraged Easton to use the potty by himself.
Because I think this product is so cool I’m going to give one away! Head over to my Instagram for a chance to win!
