There are only two things in this world that I absolutely cannot stand.
The first is bugs that fly, and I think that’s a pretty rational hatred. They’re creepy looking and they can land in your hair. Yuck. No bugs for me, thanks.
The second is doing laundry. I hate doing laundry. When I do laundry it tends to live in the drier for way longer than it’s supposed to, and once it migrates to the couch it stays relatively untouched for a solid three day period. Not always, but sometimes.
Because I suck at laundry (and I’m working on it, but it’s still a work in progress) we already have laundry piled up in hampers never to see the light of day again, so the last thing I want is to add to that with crib sheets and Easton’s bedding.
But as bad as I am at laundry,I’m also not a total slob so these things need to be washed. Between Easton spilling milk on his sheets and the baby spitting up or having a blow out in his bed, I end up washing bed sheets way more often than I’d like to.
And do you know what the worst part about changing sheets is? Taking them off and then putting them back on the bed.
Do you know how hard it is for me to lift a mattress? I’m incredibly weak. This alone is enough to make me want to avoid doing it.
That reason alone inspired me to look into QuickZip, a sheet system that lets you remove the part of the sheet you lay on by unzipping it, then replace it with a clean sheet that gets zipped back into place.
Seriously, that’s all you do. So instead of lifting the mattress up, pulling off the entire fitted sheet, washing it, and then pulling it all back into place by picking up the mattress again, all you do is pull it out of the drier and zip it onto the bed.
It sounds like a really great idea because it is.
Not having to take the whole sheet off the bed not only saves me energy but time. Have you ever had your kid wake you up in the middle of the night because he threw up or wet the bed and you don’t have an extra bed sheet handy? Or you’re just so tired that the act of changing that bed sheet feels impossible? I have! And it’s no fun. You’re tired, your kiddo is tired, and it’s just a bad situation all around.
QuickZip sheets make the whole middle of the night changing the sheets thing a million times easier.
You don’t have to take the whole sheet off the bed, wait for the laundry to finish washing, or spread a blanket over the mattress and hope for the best. It’s so simple to take on and off the bed that even at your most tired it’s manageable.
They make two types of sheets: the Twin collection and the Luxe collection. The Twin collection is a very basic pack that includes the base and one zip on sheet. You can purchase additional zip on sheets as well. The Luxe collection includes the base, a zip on sheet, and two pillow cases. The Luxe collection is also a little nicer fabric, which is great because they make this collection in sizes twin to California king!
Additionally, QuickZip makes crib sheets and play yard sheets. The crib sheets come in three different packages: the basic 2 piece set, the premium 4 piece set, and the deluxe 6 piece set. These come in several options for colors and you can also purchase a minky fabric zip on sheet! They also have great mattress pads for your crib to save your mattress from any accidents.
Aside from their functionality, QuickZip crib sheets are safer than traditional crib sheets. One thing people don’t realize about crib sheets is that if they get loose from the mattress they have the potential to be a strangulation hazard.
I know that sometimes us moms prefer the stylish and trendy products over the more useful products, but even though QuickZip crib sheets may be a little more plain they’re not only safer, but they’re so much easier!
We love our QuickZip sheets for Easton’s trundle bed! It makes it so much easier for me to quickly change his bedding whether it’s from a spill, an accident, or someone bringing a marker into the bed (is my kid the only one who does this because it’s a serious problem in our house).
Once we get Lincoln out of the cradle he’s still sleeping in and into the crib I know we’ll love using our QuickZip crib sheets. I can already tell they’re going to make an appearance on my list of baby must-haves for their ease of use, safety, and all-around awesomeness.
And I know once Lincoln grows out of the crib I’ll be buying another set for his bed. I’m even considering buying us some for our bed because this idea is genius and would make one of the tasks I dread the most (dealing with bedding at any time) easier.
All around, I’m thrilled about QuickZip and their sheets. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a change in their bedroom, and not that kind of change. They’re a great product and company, I really can’t say enough good things about them!
