How many times can I say I love baby wearing before I sound like a crazy person? I have a Moby Wrap, a Happy Baby carrier, a Hope Carried ring sling, and my newest obsession- a Lalabu Soothe Shirt. I love baby wearing. Being able to snuggle with little man and also being hands-free is one of my all time favorite things.
Beyond that though, babies love being close to their mamas. And after doing 9 months in mom’s belly, it’s no surprise that little babes feel most comfortable snuggled in warm and cozy and rocked. And as much as I’d love to spend all my time standing around rocking Lincoln, I can’t. I have a hyper three year old who also wants my attention, people to feed, a house to clean, and school work that feels never-ending (and sometimes insurmountable).
That’s where baby wearing comes in. Being able to wear Lincoln and be hands-free really is a lifesaver. At 6 weeks he’s starting to be awake for longer periods of time now and Lincoln does not like to be put down when he’s awake. So when he’s awake, I have to be holding or wearing him. Obviously when I need to get things done baby wearing becomes the most convenient thing, but sometimes having extra fabric really gets in the way. Taking the time to wrap or adjust my sling can get in the way when I’m just doing something quickly around the house.
By far the best part of the Lalabu Soothe Shirt is how convenient it makes having your baby right next to you. You’re literally wearing them in your shirt. It takes baby carriers, slings, and wraps and one-ups them entirely. No extra steps, no complex wrapping technique, no additional time. All you have to do is put on the shirt. And everyone can put on a shirt, am I right?
Plus, the Lalabu Soothe Shirt is nursing friendly. It has a built in nursing bra making it ultra convenient for when your little is hungry. And you stay mostly covered while nursing because you don’t have to pull up your shirt and expose your stomach. It’s perfect for people (like me) who aren’t totally comfortable with being all out in the open when nursing in public.
I really love the Lalabu Soothe Shirt It’s simple and sweet. It makes baby wearing a lot easier and more comfortable too. I’d highly recommend it to any soon-to-be mama who loves the idea of baby wearing but isn’t quite sure where to begin, or to any mamas (or daddy’s- they make soothe shirts for men!) who have fussy babes who never want to be put down.
I also like how comfortable it is postpartum. It’s slimming and fitted, but not awkwardly so. I enjoy wearing it because I can wear Lincoln, yes, but also because of the way it’s form fitting and slimming. And since black is a slimming color it’s an additional bonus 😉
Whether you’re really into baby-wearing or you’ve never tried it but you’re interested in trying it, the Lalabu soothe shirt is an awesome place to start your newborn. It makes baby wearing easier, is extremely comfortable, and takes out any additional steps that may come with the other forms of baby wearing. It’s really cute and helps your little one feel nice and cozy, what more could you want?
