Our sweet little one is coming soon and my baby shower is right around the corner. While some may choose to forego a second baby shower, for me it was a priority to celebrate our babe with family- especially since I didn’t really get to do that with Easton, and Jake and I weren’t together at the time so his family wasn’t a part of that either.
It’s all super exciting, but creating a baby registry was a little stressful. I don’t really need a ton, but I also know that it’s a lot easier to buy something off a gift registry than to try and guess what someone might like to get as a gift. Plus, some of Easton’s things were given to me as hand-me-downs so it would be nice to receive a few newer things that we could hopefully keep for future littles.
So what did I end up putting on my registry?
Mostly just things that I knew we would use and/or would like to replace. A lot of practical things. But also a few things that I normally wouldn’t splurge for because they’re cute but not exactly a necessity.
For example, I put this Aveeno Baby bathtime gift set on there. I love Aveeno’s baby products so much. And Aveeno’s eczema therapy lotion gets rid of baby acne. It’s really just a better option for baby skin all around, though it doesn’t quite have that same new baby smell.
I also put these muslin swaddle blankets from aden + anais on my list. Swaddle blankets are a huge must for me, and muslin is a really light, soft, and durable fabric that’s really great for covering up babies when you live in the desert. It gets so hot here that using a thicker blanket would be ridiculous.
Along with that, I added these muslin burp cloths. I just really love muslin.
And how cute are these drool bibs? I added them to the registry because they’re not really something I need, but I love how cute they look! These colors and prints are just adorable.
Adding to the “probably wouldn’t splurge on but if someone wants to get them for me” thing, I added these two cute towels. I just think this cute towel and washcloth set is so cute. And the elephant towel just melts my little mom heart. So cute. So picture perfect.
So there you have some of my registry. There are other things I added that aren’t on this fun little list (think diapers, wipes, etc) but these were some of my favorite picks. I’m thinking I’ll do a comprehensive list of must-haves for a newborn soon, so let me know if you’d be interested in reading that!
